Research Area:
The research conducted within the lab involves various aspects of fluid mechanics, including:
- Transport and dispersion of finite-sized particles in wavy and turbulent flows
- Air-sea interactions under high-speed winds
- Fluid dynamics of ocean wave energy conversion
- Ecological fluid dynamics related to marine organism transport
Eligibility/Qualifications:
- PhD in engineering, oceanography, physics, biology, or related field.
- Experimental expertise (e.g., PIV and/or PTV, experimental design, data acquisition, and analysis).
- Prior experience and publications in fluid dynamics-related topics.
- Interest in mentoring and collaborating with student researchers.
- Interest in or experience with theoretical modeling is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead research projects.
Job Description:
The candidate will lead laboratory experiments with flexibility in exact projects, aiming to advance understanding in vital areas of ocean physics and transport mechanisms. All appointments are for one year, with a possibility of renewal based on performance and available funding. This is a full-time position requiring on-site work at Princeton.
