Eligibility/Qualification

  • Education: Master’s degree or at least 240 higher education credits, including 60 credits at the second cycle level.
  • Experience: Knowledge in carbon materials synthesis, including catalytic graphitization and/or templating approaches.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English (written and spoken) equivalent to English B/6.

Description

The PhD project will explore the conversion of biochar into high-performance bio-graphene for Li-S battery applications. It involves integrating several techniques, including Fe-catalyzed graphitization and molten-salt templating, to produce materials with high electrical conductivity and specific structures tailored for optimal battery performance. The program emphasizes hands-on research in state-of-the-art laboratories in collaboration with industrial partners.
