Eligibility/Qualification

  • Degree: Ph.D. in a relevant field (Microbiology, Plant Biology, Molecular Biology).
  • Expertise: Strong background in plant-microbe interactions; experience in microbiology is essential.
  • Skills: Proficiency in “omics” analyses, with international experience preferred.

Job Description

You will engage in cutting-edge research exploring:

  1. The impact of wheat genetics and nutritional status on the tripartite interaction between arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), wheat, and the pathogenic fungus Zymoseptoria tritici responsible for septoria.
  2. Potential trade-offs between resistance stimulation and growth promotion via mycorrhizae.
  3. Underlying molecular mechanisms using transcriptomic and metabolomic approaches on contrasting genotypes and conditions.

You will be based at LIPME, collaborating closely with genomics, metabolomics, and microscopy platforms, and will receive training in septoria phenotyping.
