Job Description
The successful candidate will carry out the following tasks:
- Perform growth inhibition assays using Plasmodium falciparum and Leishmania infantum in vitro cultures.
- Conduct RNA sequencing, pulldowns, and cellular thermal shift assays.
- Perform computational analysis of genomes and of disordered protein regions.
- Analyze protein condensates formed through liquid-liquid phase separation.
- Generate knock-out lines of P. falciparum and L. infantum using molecular biology techniques.
Eligibility/Qualification
Essential:
- PhD in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, or related fields.
- Experience in cell cultures, particularly with parasites such as Plasmodium or Leishmania.
- Strong computational analysis skills, especially regarding genomes and disordered protein regions.
- Proficiency in cellular and molecular biology techniques, with experience in microscopy.
Advantageous:
- Experience in RNA sequencing and cellular thermal shift assays.
