Eligibility/Qualifications

Essential

  1. PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in a relevant field.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of protein biochemistry and chemical biology.
  3. Experience with experimental design and implementation in research.

Skills

  1. Expertise in membrane protein biochemistry.
  2. Experience in biophysical techniques for ligand-receptor interaction characterization.
  3. Skills in computational and AI-assisted molecular design.

Job Description

Purpose

To contribute to an innovative project focused on alpha-conotoxin/nAChR interactions, under the guidance of Professor Andrew Jamieson.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Lead planning and conduct of research activities.
  2. Document research outputs and maintain databases.
  3. Publish research findings and formulate proposals for funding.
  4. Present research at conferences and seminars.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  6. Mentor and supervise students and junior researchers.
  7. Manage administrative tasks including budgets and expenditure.
  8. Engage in teaching activities as necessary.
  9. Stay updated on advancements in the field.
