Job Description

The PhD project will focus on:

  1. Investigating membrane behavior in selected non-aqueous media.
  2. Conducting filtration experiments (microfiltration/ultrafiltration) with model foulants (particles, macromolecules).
  3. Analyzing fouling in a representative industrial application.

You will use various characterization techniques, including dynamic light scattering, zeta potential analysis, electron microscopy, and filtration parameter analysis (permeability, hydraulic resistance, specific resistance). The role aims to enhance the understanding of solvent/foulant/membrane interactions in fouling mechanisms in non-aqueous environments.
