Eligibility/Qualification
- MSc degree in climatology, meteorology, earth science, hydrology, computer science, environmental science, or equivalent.
- Solid coding skills in Python; motivation to advance skills in Python and high-performance computing.
- Experience or affinity with system dynamics, earth system modeling, and statistics.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Job Description
As a PhD candidate, you will:
- Develop new modeling tools to assess systemic impacts of climate and non-climate factors.
- Execute simulations under various climate and non-climate scenarios.
- Analyze the impacts of compound events.
- Provide tools for systemic impact assessment to case study stakeholders.
- Present research findings at conferences and publish in scientific journals.
- Contribute to teaching and supervising bachelor and master programs.
