Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A completed second-cycle level degree or course requirements totaling at least 240 ECTS credits (with 60 ECTS at second-cycle level).
  • At least 90 ECTS credits in Chemistry or a related field, with a minimum of 15 ECTS at the second-cycle level in the specialization.
  • Knowledge and experience in biochemistry, structural biology, and molecular biology techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in infection biology and working with the Linux operating system.
  • Previous experience in virology.

Job Description

The PhD student will engage in research activities focused on the structural and molecular interactions of viruses, alongside participation in coursework and potential teaching responsibilities (up to 20%). The position aims to lead to a doctoral degree over a period of four years or up to five years with part-time teaching.
