Eligibility / Qualification
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- PhD (awarded or near completion) in Electrochemistry or a related discipline
- Strong hands-on experience with electrochemical techniques
- Experience in safe laboratory practices and COSHH documentation
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within research teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in scientific writing (manuscripts, reports, or patents)
Desirable Skills
- Experience in electrodeposition techniques
- Expertise in characterization of materials using SEM, EDX, Raman, UV-Vis, XRD
- Experience working in inert environments (glove box, non-aqueous systems)
- Familiarity with advanced electrochemical tools (EQCM, impedance spectroscopy)

Job Description
Research Responsibilities (65%)
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in electrochemistry
- Develop innovative research outputs and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Contribute to grant proposals and research funding applications
- Engage with academic, industrial, and public stakeholders
- Ensure research outputs follow FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reproducible) principles
- Support supervision of postgraduate students
Leadership & Engagement (15%)
- Plan and manage research activities effectively
- Contribute to departmental and university initiatives
- Participate in committees (e.g., EDI, Health & Safety, Ethics)
- Support sustainability and inclusion initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and assist colleagues
