Eligibility/Qualification
- Recent PhD (or in process of finishing) in Earth Observation, Geospatial Science, Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources and Ecology, or a related field.
- Proficient in analytical and programming skills (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB).
- Experience with remote sensing data sources, particularly hyperspectral and thermal infrared data.
- Strong motivation for research and experience in interdisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
- Track record of publishing peer-reviewed articles in relevant journals.
Job Description
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:
- Investigate the effects of renewable energy transitions on ecosystem functioning and biodiversity.
- Utilize innovative Earth Observation technologies to monitor biodiversity changes.
- Collaborate with various partners to support biodiversity-positive energy transitions.
- Analyze Essential Biodiversity Variables (EBVs) and Essential Climate Variables (ECVs) in relation to anthropogenic pressures.
