About- Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University has invited online applications from eligible Indian candidates for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in various academic departments through direct recruitment. The appointments will be made as per UGC Regulations 2018 and Government of Uttar Pradesh rules.

A total of 26 Assistant Professor positions are available across disciplines including Science, Humanities, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Commerce, Law, and Computer Science. Selected candidates will be appointed at Academic Level-10 with an entry pay of ₹57,700 per month under the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed under UGC Regulations 2018 for appointment as Assistant Professor.

Typical requirements include:

• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• Candidates should have qualified NET/SLET/SET in the relevant subject.
• Candidates holding a Ph.D. degree as per UGC regulations are eligible for exemption from NET where applicable.
• Reservation and relaxation in marks will be provided according to Government of Uttar Pradesh norms.

Job/Position Description- 

Designation: Assistant Professor

Selected candidates will be responsible for:

• Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Conducting academic and research activities.
• Student mentoring and guidance.
• Curriculum development and academic administration.
• Participation in departmental and university activities.
• Contributing to research publications and institutional development.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of two phases:

Phase-I

• Basic Academic Score and API Score assessment (100 marks)
• Written Test for subject/domain knowledge (40 marks)

Phase-II

• Assessment of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency through PowerPoint Presentation (20 marks)
• Interview (10 marks)

Only shortlisted candidates from Phase-I will be invited for Phase-II.
