Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in antibody science, protein engineering, immunology, biotechnology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in academia and/or industry following PhD completion.
- Strong background in immunology and antibody development, with experience in protein engineering and biologics development preferred.
- Hands-on experience with recombinant antibody production and purification is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of translational drug development or preclinical therapeutic development is considered advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the PHARMIgA research program, primarily focusing on:
- Discovery and characterization of IgA antibodies.
- Production and manufacturing, aimed at improving and scaling IgA formats.
- Safety and efficacy testing through advanced human-relevant preclinical models.
- Delivery technologies, including novel administration methods.
Additionally, the role involves working on a demonstrator project within the Oncode Accelerator for developing a bispecific antibody that engages neutrophils to target cancer cells. The position is embedded in the Antibody Therapy group led by Prof. Jeanette Leusen, consisting of a collaborative team of researchers.
