Eligibility/Qualification

CriteriaDetails
DegreeMaster’s degree in Human Movement Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Physiotherapy, or Medicine (requirements must be fulfilled by appointment date)
InterestStrong interest in the musculoskeletal system
Language SkillsGood command of Dutch (required); knowledge of French or other languages is advantageous
Research IndependenceAbility to independently develop and carry out a research project
ExperienceDemonstrated promise as a researcher through Master’s thesis research
Clinical InteractionWillingness to participate in clinical data collection with patients undergoing hip surgery
Technical SkillsKnowledge or experience in motion analysis, electromyography (EMG), exercise physiology, medical imaging, musculoskeletal modelling, or numerical simulations is advantageous

Job Description

  • Conduct interdisciplinary research on the hip capsule and lower-limb movement.
  • Participate in a research team consisting of physicians, engineers, and biomedical scientists.
  • Develop new clinical applications in the personalized treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Collect clinical data involving patients undergoing hip surgery.
  • Actively engage in fundamental and applied scientific research.
