Eligibility/Qualification
- Essential Criteria:
- PhD (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Molecular Biology or a closely related discipline.
- Strong research track record in biocatalysis or protein engineering, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
- Experience in enzyme engineering, protein expression and mutagenesis and/or directed evolution.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative research team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in organic synthesis.
- Experience developing high-throughput assays for enzyme screening.
- Experience working with industrial partners or industry-facing research projects.
- Experience supporting or training students or early-career researchers.
Job Description
As a Research Associate, you will:
- Design and conduct high-quality research in protein engineering and biocatalysis.
- Develop innovative experimental protocols and biocatalytic approaches.
- Apply protein redesign, library generation, and high-throughput screening or selection methods.
- Collaborate closely with academic and industrial partners to deliver industry-focused research outputs.
- Disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed publications, reports, and presentations.
