Eligibility / Qualification
Required:
- PhD in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in polymeric materials, textiles, fibers, or wearable technologies
- Strong publication and scientific writing record
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple research tasks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Experience with biodegradable and sustainable polymers
- Experience in fiber, film, foam, or textile processing
- Knowledge of smart textiles or wearable systems
- Experience mentoring students
- Interest in grant writing and research funding development
Job Description
The selected candidate will:
- Independently design and execute research in functional polymer-based products
- Develop and characterize bio-based fibers, films, foams, and textiles
- Work on smart wearable technologies and functional textiles
- Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports
- Publish research in high-impact peer-reviewed journals
- Present findings at conferences and scientific meetings
- Assist in research proposal development and grant writing
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate researchers
- Collaborate with internal and external research partners
- Maintain lab records and support laboratory management
