Job Summary
The Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS) is seeking a highly motivated and outstanding Postdoctoral Researcher. The primary goal of this role is to develop computational models that autonomously learn abstract representations and models of the world from simulated physical interactions with their environment. Eligibility & Qualifications
- Education: A PhD in Machine Learning, Cognitive Science, Robotics, or a related field (or expected PhD completion date).
- Skills: Excellent programming and analytical skills.
- Knowledge: Broad understanding of machine learning and/or cognitive science.
- Interests: A strong interest in open-ended learning systems and human cognitive development.
Job Description
- Conduct theoretical and computational research in the lab of Prof. Dr. Jochen Triesch.
- Develop advanced computational models focused on autonomous machine learning.
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary hub dedicated to biologically inspired computing and natural sciences.
- Contribute to the institute’s diverse, equal, and inclusive research culture.
