Eligibility & Qualifications
- Hold a PhD in synthetic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, or a related area (or be close to completion prior to taking up the appointment).
- Demonstrated experience in multi-step organic synthesis, supramolecular chemistry in lipid bilayer membranes, and related laboratory techniques.
- Ability to manage your own academic research and administrative activities, including small-scale project management and coordinating multiple work aspects to meet deadlines.
Job Description
- Synthesize and develop synthetic supramolecular transport systems for ions and polar molecules operating within lipid bilayer membranes, controllable via external stimuli.
- Manage independent academic research, small-scale projects, and administrative tasks.
- Work full-time on-site at the Chemistry Research Laboratory in Oxford (part-time or flexible hour requests will also be considered).
