Eligibility

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in human-computer interaction, computer science, interaction design, applied artificial intelligence, or a related field.
  • Possess outstanding spoken and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and the ability to acquire new skills.
  • Advantageous (but not strictly required): Prior experience with HCI research, digital prototyping, and/or AI tools.

Scholarship Description

As part of the Human Augmentation and Collaboration research group, the PhD candidate will:

  • Study the needs of creatives integrating AI decision support during design ideation.
  • Combine requirements gathering with interactive system development and empirical evaluation in real-world settings.
  • Complete PhD courses corresponding to 30 ECTS.
  • Gain experience with teaching or other forms of knowledge dissemination.
  • Complete an external research stay outside of Aalborg University (preferably 3-6 months at a foreign research institution).
  • Publish in leading Human-Computer Interaction venues.

Note: The candidate will be enrolled as a PhD student at the Technical Doctoral School of IT and Design.
