Eligibility and Qualifications
- A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Chemistry or a related field is required.
- Relevant postdoctoral experience is required.
- Applicants must be qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor level.
- Under exceptional circumstances, highly qualified candidates at other ranks may also be considered.

Job Description
The selected candidate will develop or continue a vigorous research program in Experimental Biological Chemistry and join UMass Amherst’s collaborative and interdisciplinary biological chemistry and structural biology community.
The successful applicant may choose to participate in the Molecular and Cell Biology Interdisciplinary Graduate Training Program, the Institute for Applied Life Sciences, the Biotechnology Training Program, or the Chemistry Biology Interface Training Program.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
- Anticipated start date: September 1, 2027
- Expected salary range: $79,350 to $126,956
- Working conditions: Work is conducted in laboratory or healthcare settings and may involve exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases, extended standing, and the use of protective equipment.
The appointment is subject to final budgetary and administrative approval.
