Job Description & Project Scope
The selected Research Associate will participate in advanced research focused on the topological aspects of extreme QCD matter and its interaction with jets. Core responsibilities include relativistic heavy-ion collision data analysis, Monte Carlo simulation modeling, and computational high-energy physics analysis.
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D. degree in Experimental High-Energy / Nuclear Physics.
- Thesis Submitted: Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting the award/defense are also eligible to apply (must produce a letter from a competent authority).
- Desirable Experience: Strong research background in data analysis, relativistic heavy-ion collisions at RHIC and/or LHC experiments, Electron–Ion Collider (EIC) physics, jet physics, or hard probes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computational and data analysis tools, including C++, Python, ROOT, commonly used high-energy physics Monte Carlo event generators, Geant4, or related simulation frameworks.
- Research Record: Documented track record of high-quality research publications during or after the Ph.D. program.
Fellowship & Emoluments
- For Ph.D. Degree Holders: Rs. 58,000/- per month + 10% HRA.
- For Candidates Awaiting Ph.D. Degree (Thesis Submitted): Rs. 42,000/- per month + 10% HRA.
- A nominal research grant will also be made available under the project guidelines.
