Eligibility / Qualification

Assistant Professor – Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences and related disciplines

• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the concerned/relevant/allied subject.
• Candidates must generally have qualified UGC/CSIR NET, SLET/SET, or hold a Ph.D. meeting the applicable UGC exemption conditions.
• A Ph.D. from a foreign university may qualify under the specified top-500 global-ranking criteria.

Assistant Professor – Management / Business Administration

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration / PGDM / C.A. / ICWA / M.Com with First Class or equivalent.
• Two years of professional experience after the Master’s degree.

Assistant Professor – Engineering / Technology

• B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in the relevant branch, with First Class or equivalent in at least one of the degrees.

Assistant Professor – Computer Applications

Eligible routes include:

• B.E./B.Tech./B.S. + M.E./M.Tech./M.S./Integrated M.Tech. in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in one degree; or
• B.E./B.Tech. + MCA with First Class or equivalent in one of the two degrees; or
• Three-year graduation with Mathematics as a compulsory subject + MCA with First Class or equivalent and two years of relevant experience after MCA.

Associate Professor

For Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Education, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences and related disciplines:

• Good academic record with a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.
• Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience at an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
• At least 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• Minimum research score of 75.

For Engineering/Technology:

• Ph.D. in the relevant field.
• First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
• At least 6 research publications in SCI/UGC/AICTE-approved journals.
• Minimum 8 years’ teaching/research/industry experience, including at least 2 years of post-Ph.D. experience.

Professor / Director – Engineering & Technology

• Ph.D. in the relevant field.
• First Class or equivalent at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industry experience, including at least 3 years at a position equivalent to Associate Professor.
• In addition, candidates must meet the prescribed research-publication and Ph.D.-guidance requirements.

Pharmacy

Qualifications and experience must comply with PCI-recognized norms. Depending on the position, requirements include B.Pharm, M.Pharm/Pharm.D and Ph.D., together with prescribed teaching/research/industry experience.

Job Description

Selected candidates will serve in contractual teaching positions at RMLAU and will be expected to undertake academic and research responsibilities appropriate to their position and discipline.

The selection process includes academic/research-score-based shortlisting and interview. For Assistant Professor positions, the process includes:

1. Basic Academic Score and API/Research Score – 100 marks
2. Written subject-knowledge examination – 40 marks
3. Teaching-skills assessment – 20 marks
4. Interview – 10 marks

For Associate Professor and Professor positions, candidates are shortlisted based on the prescribed Basic Academic/API/Research Score, followed by an interview.

For Assistant Professor written examinations:

• Science/Humanities & Social Sciences: NET syllabus
• Engineering/Technology: GATE syllabus
• Pharmacy: GPAT syllabus
