Summary
Karolinska Institutet is seeking 1 to 2 skilled experimental immunologists for postdoctoral positions within the team of Camilla Engblom. The projects are at the intersection of immunology, cancer, mucosal immunology, and spatial transcriptomics, aiming to mechanistically test immune responses and harness them for therapy. The team is affiliated with SciLifeLab, a world leader in spatial biology, and recently developed a method to study B cells and B cell receptors within their tissue microenvironment using spatial transcriptomics.

Job Description
The successful applicant will explore ambitious questions regarding immune cell clonal dynamics in cancer and mucosal tissues using unique patient cohorts, and then test hypotheses mechanistically using pre-clinical models. This role involves close collaboration with other team members and collaborators. The team is dedicated to fostering the next generation of scientists, and candidates interested in teaching and mentoring are welcome. The position requires independent work as well as extensive collaboration within a highly interdisciplinary research environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Explore immune cell clonal dynamics in cancer and mucosal tissues.
- Mechanistically test hypotheses using pre-clinical models.
- Collaborate with team members and external partners.
- Present research findings to both general and specialized audiences.
- Potentially teach and mentor junior scientists.
How to Apply
