Eligibility/Qualification–
1. Project Scientist-III (Management Unit)
Upper age limit: 45 years
Qualification: Candidates having Doctoral Degree in Science or Master Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent and Seven years’ of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and
Scientific activities and services.
At least five first-authored publications in peer-reviewed international journals with JCR impact factor is desirable.
2. Project Officer (Monitoring and grievance redressal) @ grade of Project Scientist II (One Post).
Upper age limit: 40 years
Qualification: Candidates having Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent and Three years’ of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services. At least three first-authored publications in peer-reviewed international journals with JCR impact factor is desirable.
3. Project Officer (Recognition & Renewal of Recognized TCPFs) @ grade of Project Scientist II (One Post).
Upper age limit: 40 years
Qualification: Candidates having Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent and Three years’ of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
At least three first-authored publications in peer-reviewed international journals with JCR impact factor is desirable.
4. Information/ Database Officer @ grade of Project Scientist II (One Post).
Upper age limit: 40 years
Qualification: Candidates having Doctoral Degree in Computer Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent from a recognized university or equivalent and Three years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions in the DBT Project -National Certification System for Tissue Culture Raised Plants (NCS-TCP) of Dr. Ashutosh Pandey, Scientist, NIPGR. The details of the positions are as under:
- Project Scientist-III (Management Unit) (One Post). Emoluments @ Rs. 78,000/-plus 24% HRA per month with increment of 5%for every two years (Subject to performance review)
Job Description: Candidates having working knowledge on different plants, tissue culture, genetic fidelity, virus indexing and prior experience in certification system/ lab management and scientific activities will be given preference.
2. Project Officer (Monitoring and grievance redressal) @ grade of Project Scientist II (One Post). Emoluments @ Rs. 67,000/-plus 24% HRA per month with increment of 5%for every two years (Subject to performance review)
Job Description: Candidates having Research experience in the area of assessment, Morphological/ Chemical/ Molecular Characterization of plants, working experience on Plant tissue culture, genetic fidelity and virus indexing will be given preference. Candidates having prior experience in Monitoring and grievance redressal related to SOPs of tissue culture raised plants will be given preference.
3. Project Officer (Recognition & Renewal of Recognized TCPFs) @ grade of Project Scientist II (One Post). Emoluments @ Rs. 67,000/-plus 24% HRA per month with increment of 5%for every two years (Subject to performance review)
Job Description: Candidates having Research experience in in the area of assessment, Morphological/ Chemical/ Molecular Characterization of plants, Experience on DNA fingerprinting, Molecular markers, Tissue culture and genetic fidelity testing of plants and having prior experience in Recognition & Renewal of Recognized TCPFs and Standard Operating Procedures for Recognized Tissue Culture Production Facility will be given preference.
4. Information/ Database Officer @ grade of Project Scientist II (One Post). Emoluments @ Rs. 67,000/-plus 24% HRA per month with increment of 5%for every two years (Subject to performance review)
Job Description: Extensive experience with database development including technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB), Webpage development Language: HTML, DHTML, CSS, Java script, Jquery, Bootstrap, Microsoft .NET framework 3.5 and above, ASP .NET and PHP & MySQL with Linux and Windows Server environments and cloud services will be given preference.
- The above positions are completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project.
- The fellowship/emolument amount for the above positions are as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms.
- The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority.
- NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidates against the above posts depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
- The appointment may be terminated any time by giving one month notice by either side.
- The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

- Candidate must send separate applications if he/she desires to apply for more than one post.
- A web-link with date and time of online interview will be e-mailed to the shortlisted candidates only.
- The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
