About- Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) is a premier scientific research organization in the north-east region, conceived and nurtured by the Assam Science Society in its initial years and was inaugurated by Nobel Laureate Dorothy C. Hodgkin on 3rd November 1979. Subsequently, it was supported by the state govt. as its only autonomous R&D institute till March 2009. The institute was taken over in March, 2009 by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India as one of its autonomous R&D institute.
Research/Job Area- Life Sciences/Organic Chemistry
Location- Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati (Assam)
Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Organic Chemistry from a recognized university and 4 years research experience in the relevant field or PhD in Life Sciences/Organic Chemistry from a recognized university,
- Research experience/ PhD in human/food microbiome.
Desirable :
Expertise in next generation sequencing (NGS) techniques and data analysis (bioinformatics and statistics)
Age limit: 40 years (Relaxation as per GOI guidelines).

Applications are invited for a Walk in Interview for recruitment of following position on contractual basis under the DST funded project, “ST/SC community development programme in IASST”at Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) Garchuk, Guwahati (Assam).

Name of Post: Senior Research Associate
Number of Post: 1 (One)
Salary: Rs 42000 + 16% HRA per month.
Date of Interview: 03-03-2023 at 10 am in the conference room of IASST.
