About- IISER Berhampur is a premier autonomous Institution of National Importance funded by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Govt. of India for promoting high-quality Science Education and Research. IISER Berhampur invites applications for the Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship in the Department of Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.
Research/Job Area- Geology/Applied geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology/Hydrology, any branch of Engineering, Computer science, Statistics or related fields
Location- IISER Berhampur
Eligibility/Qualification–
PhD degree (or submitted) in Geology/Applied geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology/Hydrology, any branch of Engineering, Computer science, Statistics or related fields.
Superlative knowledge of at least one programming language, strong hydrologic modeling and/or AI/ML modelling; or experience in field, instrumentation and laboratory work.
Applicants should have a good academic record and peerreviewed publications in high impact journals. Those who have submitted their thesis may also apply.
Job requirement
Able to carry out research on the interaction between groundwater, surface water, climate, vegetation, land use, crop production, and water withdrawals to understand the spatiotemporal variability of subsurface and surface hydrologic processes.
