Genome Stability in Ageing: The Institute for Genome Stability in Aging and Disease, located in Cologne, Germany, is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral candidates who are interested in investigating the fundamental role of DNA damage in ageing and how inheritance of stable genomes is regulated. The research focuses on understanding how DNA damage causes ageing and cancer and how genome instability impacts genetic inheritance, with the aim of developing therapeutic strategies aimed at preventing ageing-related diseases.
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher Research
Area: Investigating the role of DNA damage in ageing and inheritance of stable genomes
Location: Cologne, Germany Institution
Information: Institute for Genome Stability in Aging and Disease, CECAD Research Center, University of Cologne
Qualifications: Applicants should have a PhD degree and a solid background in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, or bioinformatics.
Job Description: The successful candidate will be involved in research using both genetic and biochemical approaches, primarily in the C. elegans but also in mammalian systems, to investigate the molecular basis of ageing and inheritance. The candidate will work in a highly international academic research environment and will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.
How to Apply: Interested candidates should send a CV, a letter of intent, a list of publications, and names and addresses of three references to ojoem schumacheratluntkosin e.
