- Record of publication and leadership
- Ability to work independently
Job Description: The Post Doctoral Research Fellow will be responsible for:
- Designing and conducting experiments in aquatic microbial ecology and evolution using strains isolated from pitcher plants
- Exploring mechanisms promoting coexistence within microbial communities
- Building species-rich synthetic microbiomes
- Analyzing, interpreting, documenting, and preparing research findings for publication
- Developing outreach materials and presenting results
- Mentoring and training graduate and undergraduate students
- Problem-solving research challenges and model development
- Assisting in the preparation of proposals and reports
- Potentially assisting in teaching classes
