Research Area: Nanomaterials for Tactile Sensors and E-Skin Applications

Location: Nanoscale Materials and Systems (NMS) group, FZU – Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague, Czechia

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in physics, chemistry, engineering, or equivalent
  • Theoretical and experimental background in nanomaterial synthesis, mechanics, electronics, and robotics
  • Previous experience in nanomaterial synthesis, electromechanical characterization, and tactile sensor or e-skin fabrication is advantageous
  • Strong research capabilities, innovative thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective collaboration within diverse teams
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Job Description:

PhD/Postdoc Position in Nanomaterials for Tactile Sensors and E-Skin Applications

As a key member of the NMS group, you will contribute to pioneering research in the realm of tactile sensing technologies. You will synthesize elastic nanomaterials, develop electromechanical devices, sensors, and e-skins, and collaborate with international partners to innovate haptic technologies. Your work will bridge material science, physics, engineering, and robotics, driving advancements in flexible electronics and human-machine interaction.
