Postdoc Position at University of Bordeaux: The Soft BioColloids group, led by Assist. Prof. Laura Alvarez at the University of Bordeaux, is seeking a Postdoc candidate to work on active lipid vesicles. The position is expected to start in September 2023 (negotiable).

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering, materials science, physical chemistry (or equivalent)
- Experience with microfluidics and/or active matter
- Demonstrated expertise in image analysis and particle tracking (Matlab or Python)
- Biochemistry skills are a plus
- Highly motivated with strong experimental skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proven experience in supervision and mentoring
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Creative thinking to develop new approaches and methods
Job Description: The Postdoc candidate will work on the fabrication of soft active vesicles and study their dynamic behavior under chemical gradients in microfluidic channels. This collaborative project will involve working with Prof. Jean Christophe Baret at CRPP, a leading group in microfluidics. The candidate will also collaborate with theoretical and numerical researchers.
