Two PhD Positions: The Department of Chemistry at the University of Basel is inviting applications for two PhD positions in the Delley research group. Eligibility/Qualification:

Your profile for Position 1:

  • Highly motivated candidates.
  • Recently obtained a Master’s degree in chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Solid chemical background.
  • Preferred: Experience in electrochemistry, infrared spectroscopy, and experimental inorganic/organometallic chemistry.

Your profile for Position 2:

  • Highly motivated candidates.
  • Recently obtained a Master’s degree in chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Solid chemical background.
  • Preferred: Experience in experimental inorganic/organometallic synthesis, especially work under an inert atmosphere, and experience in catalysis.

Job Description:

Two PhD Positions within the Department of Chemistry, University of Basel

These positions offer the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of chemistry under the guidance of Professor Murielle Delley. The research projects will involve advanced spectro-electrochemistry, inorganic material synthesis and modification, and applications in heterogeneous catalysis, depending on the position. Successful candidates will be part of a dynamic and collaborative research environment within the Department of Chemistry.
