Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A strong background in plant molecular biology, with a focus on state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Hands-on research experience in genetic modification of different species.
  • Demonstrated expertise in various bioinformatics analyses, including transcriptome analysis.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and excellent written and verbal (English) communication skills.

Preferred Qualification:

  • PhD in Plant Molecular Biology, Genomics and Biosciences, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral experience.
  • A minimum of 3 first-authored and/or corresponding authored papers in peer-reviewed journals of high repute in the last 5 years.

Job Description: As a Post-doctoral Researcher in Plant Molecular Biology at KCGEB, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing different transgenic crops.
  • Molecular analysis of transgenic plants.
  • Conducting transcriptome analysis.

You will play a critical role in advancing research aimed at developing plants/crops adaptable to environmental stresses, such as drought, temperature, and salinity. Your work will contribute to the development of stress-tolerant plants/crops and the success of KCGEB’s mission.
