Research Area: Antenna Design and Prototyping using Additive Manufacturing

Location: Luxembourg, Kirchberg

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a focus on antenna design and additive manufacturing.
  • International postdoc experience is desirable.
  • Strong publication track record in relevant international conferences and top journals.
  • Expertise in antenna design, phased array design, additive manufacturing techniques, optimization tools, and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in design tools like CST Microwave Studio, Advance Design System (ADS), and High-Frequency Simulations Software (HFSS).
  • Programming skills in MATLAB, Python, JULIA, and C++.
  • Experience in MEEP programming and additive manufacturing is a plus.
  • Previous involvement in industrial or publicly funded research projects is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Job Description:

Research Associate (Postdoc) in Antenna Design and Prototyping using Additive Manufacturing – Luxembourg University

As a Research Associate, you will:

  • Investigate, simulate, and prototype antenna models for micro and millimeter-wave applications.
  • Design and prototype phased array antennas using additive manufacturing.
  • Explore various additive manufacturing techniques for antenna prototyping.
  • Implement efficient artificial intelligence solutions for phased array design challenges.
  • Disseminate research results through scientific publications and conferences.
  • Contribute actively to SnT’s research projects, coordinating technical contributions and preparing project deliverables.
  • Prepare new research proposals to attract industrial, national, and European projects.
  • Provide assistance in the supervision of Ph.D. students.
