“la Caixa” Fellowship Programme: Embark on an exciting research journey with the INPhINIT 2024 “la Caixa” Fellowship Programme, aimed at attracting international Early-Stage Researchers to top Spanish research centres. Sponsored by the “la Caixa” Foundation, this programme is designed to support the best scientific talent, fostering innovative and high-quality research in Spain. The programme comprises two frames: Doctoral INPhINIT Incoming and Doctoral INPhINIT Retaining, each offering unique opportunities for aspiring researchers.
Designation: Early-Stage Researcher (Doctoral Fellow)
Research Area: STEM Disciplines (Life Sciences and Health, Experimental Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)
Location: Accredited research centres with the Spanish Seal of Excellence Severo Ochoa, María de Maetzu, or Health Institute Carlos III, and Portuguese units accredited as “excellent.”

- Early-Stage Researchers of any nationality
- PhD research projects in STEM disciplines
Job Description:
- Conducting cutting-edge research in the chosen STEM discipline
- Establishing a personal career development plan with transnational, intersectoral, and interdisciplinary mobility opportunities
- Attending complementary training workshops
- Collaborating with top researchers in the field
- Participating in outreach and social events
Fellowship Provisions:
- Duration: 4 years maximum
- Recruitment date: September/November 2024, January 2025 under extraordinary circumstances
- Funding per fellow:
- 143,200 euros (35,800 euros per year) for salary and compulsory employers’ contributions
- 14,000 euros (3,500 euros per year) for research costs
- Tuition fees covered
- Complementary training sessions and support for personal or technical needs
