Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), Faridabad, India invites applications for Principal Scientist Post at THSTI from eligible and interested candidates.

About- Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster located at Faridabad, and is designed as a dynamic, interactive organization with the mission to conduct innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into products to improve human health.

Research/Job Area- Life Sciences

Location- Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), Faridabad, India

Eligibility/Qualification–

First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degree, in Life Sciences from a recognized university with three (3) of post-qualification experience, or PhD.

Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degree, with PhD degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university with three (3) of post qualification experience.

Essential experience:

Handling molecular biology techniques not restricted to traditional PCR, RT-PCR, Real time PCR, molecular cloning, sanger sequencing and sequence analysis.
Carrying out deep sequencing including library preparation, sample processing and analysis of deep sequence reads. Experience in working with Illumina and Oxford nanopore platforms will be a given special preference.
Hands on experience in mammalian cell culture including transfection, infection and assays using cell lines.
Well versed with basic immunological techniques such as ELISA, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation.

Desirable experience:

Protein Purification and characterization using different chromatographic techniques.
Handling FACS platforms (both sorter and analyzers).
Virus neutralization assays.
