Job/Position Description- 

Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kochi, invites applications for one Assistant Professor (on Contract) position in the Department of Chemical Oceanography. The position is offered on a contractual basis, initially for one year, with a break during the vacation months of May and June, or until a regular recruit joins duty, whichever is earlier.

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Hydrochemistry/Chemistry along with NET, in accordance with the UGC Regulations 2018. A Ph.D. in the relevant field is desirable.

The selected candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor on contract in the Department of Chemical Oceanography at CUSAT.

The position involves teaching responsibilities in the relevant academic subject of Chemical Oceanography and associated departmental academic activities. The appointment will initially be for one year, with a break during the vacation months of May and June, or until a regular recruit joins duty, whichever is earlier.

The appointment, service conditions, remuneration, and other benefits will be governed by the applicable provisions of KSR, KS&SSR, CUSAT Acts/Statutes/Ordinances, and relevant Syndicate decisions, as amended from time to time.

Salary

• ₹45,000 per month for candidates without Ph.D.
• ₹47,000 per month for candidates possessing a Ph.D.
