The University invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in discipline of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physiotherapy, Management, Law, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science & Engg., VLSI Design & Tech., English, Communication Skills, Environment Sciences, Economics, Education, Media Studies, Neurosciences, Hindu Studies, Sanskrit, Music, Development Studies, Liberal Art, Nursing, Biosciences, Architecture, Designing, Public Health, Social Work etc.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Common basic requirement:

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Must have Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects at Matric or higher level.
  • Age: Minimum 18 years and maximum 55 years (no age relaxation admissible).

1. Pharmaceutical Sciences

  • Essential:
    • First Class B.Pharm and M.Pharm in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
    • Basic degree must be recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and obtained from a University approved under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
    • Candidate must be registered as Pharmacist in a State Pharmacy Council.

2. Physiotherapy

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy (B.P.T./B.Th.P./B.P.Th. etc.).
    • Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (M.P.Th./M.Th.P./M.Sc. P.T./M.P.T.) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale) from a recognized University.

3. Management

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, and
    • Master’s Degree in Business Administration / PGDM / C.A. / ICWA / M.Com. with First Class or equivalent, and
    • Two years of professional experience after acquiring the Master’s degree.
  • Desirable:
    • Teaching / Research / Industrial / Professional experience in a reputed organization.
    • Papers presented at conferences and/or published in refereed journals.

4. Law, Physics, Mathematics, Economics, Psychology, Hindi, English

Eligibility (A or B):

A.
a) Master’s degree in the concerned / relevant / allied subject with 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale) from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

b) In addition, the candidate must have:

  • NET (UGC/CSIR) or SLET/SET,
    OR
  • Been awarded a Ph.D. in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009/2016 and amendments (NET/SLET/SET exempted in this case).
  • For candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to 11 July 2009, additional UGC conditions regarding regular mode, external evaluation, open viva, publications and paper presentations must be certified by Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs) of the concerned University.
  • Note: NET/SLET/SET is not required for such Master’s programmes where these tests are not conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar accredited bodies.

OR

B.

  • Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline from a foreign University/Institution ranked among top 500 in World University Rankings (QS / THE / ARWU of Shanghai).

5. Computer Science & Engineering and ECE

  • Essential:
    • B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. OR Integrated M.Tech in relevant branch,
    • with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
  • Desirable:
    • Teaching / Research / Industrial / Professional experience in reputed organization.
    • Papers presented at conferences and/or published in refereed journals.

Relaxations (as per notification)

  • 5% marks relaxation at Bachelor’s and Master’s level for DSC/OSC/ST/BC-A/BC-B (non-creamy layer) and PwBD candidates of Haryana for eligibility and good academic record.
  • 5% relaxation (from 55% to 50%) for Ph.D. degree holders who obtained Master’s degree prior to 19.09.1991.

Gurugram University, Gurugram (a State Govt. Nature of Appointment:

  • Assistant Professors on regular basis in respective disciplines and specializations.
  • Appointment is provisional, subject to verification of character and antecedents and of all documents.

Academic & Professional Responsibilities:

  • Teaching at UG/PG level in the concerned discipline/specialization.
  • Curriculum development, laboratory work (where applicable), and mentoring of students.
  • Research, publications, and participation in academic activities as per University/UGC norms.
  • Contribution to departmental, faculty, and University-level academic/administrative work.

Selection Process Summary:

  1. Written Test (Domain Knowledge) – Mandatory and Qualifying
    • All applicants will be allowed to appear without prior eligibility scrutiny.
    • Must secure minimum 50% marks (General) and 47.5% (DSC/OSC/BC/PwBD) to qualify.
    • Only test-qualified candidates’ applications will then be scrutinized for eligibility.
  2. Shortlisting for Presentation & Interview
    • Based on Academic Record, Research Publications, Teaching/Post-Doctoral Experience and Awards (maximum 100 points):
      • Academic Score: 80
      • Research Publications: 10
      • Teaching/Post-Doctoral Experience: 10
  3. Final Selection (Composite Score 100)
    • Domain Knowledge (Written Test): 50
    • Teaching Skills (PPT Presentation): 30
    • Interview: 20
    • Candidates must secure at least 60% composite score (57% for DSC/OSC/BC/PwBD) to be considered suitable.
  4. Special Note for Assistant Professor (English – Communication Skills):
    • Additional Skill Test of qualifying nature to assess communication/soft skills and fluency in English.
    • Only those who qualify this skill test proceed further in selection.
  5. Reservation:
    • As per State Government Reservation Policy for DSC/OSC/BC-A/BC-B/EWS/ESM/PwBD etc., applicable only to domicile of Haryana.
    • Reserved category candidates from other States are considered under UR (General) category only (with no reservation benefits except fee as specified).
