Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam invites applications for Contract Faculty position at IIIT from eligible and interested candidates.
About- Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam at Valavoor, Pala, Kerala, is one of the IIITs established as “Institutions of National Importance” by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India under the ambit of IIIT (PPP) Act 2017. IIIT Kottayam campus is situated at Valavoor, Pala, Kottayam – a picture location spread over in 53 acres of land – allotted by Govt. of Kerala in the southern part of the state commonly referred to as God’s Own Country.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Note: Those who have submitted Ph.D thesis are also eligible to apply.
Age: Preferably below 35 years as on date of closing of application.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals, with outstanding academic achievements, ability to establish a vibrant research programme and with a passion for teaching, for empanelment as faculty to be appointed on contract basis in the specialization Of Computer Science & Engineering and it’s Interdisciplinary areas.
Emoluments (Consolidated): Rs. 70,000/- (Rupees Seventy thousand only) per month (Income tax}other statutory deductions at applicable rates will be deducted from the payable amount at source)
Empanelment means, the shortlisted candidates will be included in the panel of faculty maintained by 111T Kottayam for a duration of ONE-year w.ef the date of publication of result They will be considered for appointment on contract basis as per the academic requirements of the Institute. Mere empanelment does not ensure appointment in the Institute. Please note that appointment on contract basis/empanelment will not entitle the candidate for any claim for future positions at 111T Kottayam (permanent or otherwise). NO claim, whatsoever in this regard, will be entertained under any circumstances.
If offered the position, it will be purely on contract basis for a period of one-year w.e.f. the date of joining the Institute or for the remaining duration of the academic year, whichever is earlier. Provision for renewal of the contract exists on mutual consent, (with or without enhancement in the remuneration) depending on the performance of the candidate and the requirement of the Institute. If the performance / conduct etc. of the candidate is found to be unsatisfactory, the contract is liable to be terminated with/without any notice and assigning any reason.
Shared accommodation (on chargeable basis and subject to availability) may be made available for those appointed on contract basis.
