AND Minimum three (03) years relevant experience post PhD. Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated experience/ aptitude in a) spatial analysis and ecological modelling, b) statistical analysis, c) project design and coordination of multi-disciplinary project team and field data collection c) research publications in peer-reviewed national/ international journals. | Candidate will lead a team and conduct field research, surveys, data collection, analysis and report-writing for monitoring of wildlife underpasses and overpasses. Project Associate – I (Ecology) No of positions: Four (04) | Five (05) Years | Essential Qualification: Masters’s Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University. Desired Qualifications: Candidate(s) with prior experience in camera trapping, sign surveys, distance sapling and vegetation surveys will be preferred. GIS, GPS, statistical analysis, and report writing knowledge is desirable. Should be able to undertake arduous field work in human dominated landscape of Maharashtra as well as forests. | Conduct monitoring of wildlife underpasses and overpasses using camera trapping, sign surveys and other field techniques. Desired Qualifications: Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated experience/ aptitude in a) spatial analysis and ecological modelling, b) statistical analysis, c) project design and coordination of multi-disciplinary project team and field data collection c) research publications in peer-reviewed national/ international journals. Candidate will be required to work in the rugged trans-himalayan terrain of Ladakh India. | The proposed project aims to study the movement ecology of selected mammal species with different ecological adaptations across the IHR. The selected mammal species are Pallas’s cat (Otocolobus manul), Himalayan wolf (Canis lupus) and Himalayan marmot (Marmota himalayana).
