Research Area & Project
The position is part of a cross-disciplinary consortium project titled, “Cancer immunotherapy utilizing multifunctional vector technology, PET imaging and metabolic MRI.” The project focuses on:
- Developing novel preclinical cancer immunotherapy against triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
- Developing advanced PET and MRI techniques (specifically deuterium, carbon-based metabolic MRI, and diffusion MRI) to detect therapy-related cell death.
Job Description
As a Doctoral Researcher, your primary task is to carry out your doctoral research, with the goal of completing your degree within four years. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and performing multimodal imaging experiments in preclinical animal models.
- Conducting research according to the project’s aims.
- Collaborating with other scientists in the consortium.
- Reporting findings and creating high-quality scientific publications.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., biomedicine, pharmacy, biology, physics, or a similar field). Candidates in the final stages of their Master’s degree may apply.
- Status: Must be eligible and accepted to the Faculty’s Doctoral Programme.
- Requirements:
- Willingness to work with preclinical animal models.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- No doctoral degree at the time of the call deadline.
- Assets (Not required but beneficial): Knowledge of MRI/MRS or PET, experience in cancer biology, animal work, or programming (Python, MATLAB).
