Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in (Bio-)Medical Sciences, Biochemistry, (Bio-)Physics, Bioscience Engineering, Veterinary Sciences, Medicine, or equivalent, or to be obtained before starting work
  • Excellent academic performance
  • Teaching competencies aligned with the University of Antwerp’s educational vision
  • Research qualities in accordance with faculty and university research policies
  • Demonstrated attributes of quality, integrity, creativity, and cooperation
  • Experience with techniques such as cell culture, genome engineering, fluorescence microscopy, and bioinformatics is advantageous

Job Description:

  • Engage in the preparation of a PhD thesis focusing on cell plasticity in glioblastoma
  • Collaborate closely with teams in Belgium, France, and Norway
  • Publish scientific articles related to the research project
  • Perform a limited number of teaching and research support tasks for the Laboratory of Cell Biology and Histology
