Eligibility/Qualification:
Essential Qualification (A or B):
A.
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- In addition to the above, candidates must have cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or a similar test like SLET/SET, OR must hold a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009/2016 or subsequent amendments).
- Candidates registered for a Ph.D. before July 11, 2009, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET if they fulfill the following conditions:
- Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
- Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- Open viva-voce conducted.
- Two research papers published (one in a refereed journal).
- Two conference/seminar presentations from Ph.D. work funded/supported by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies.
B.
Ph.D. obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in world university rankings by QS / THE / ARWU (Shanghai Jiao Tong University) at any time.
Note: NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for disciplines where such examinations are not conducted by UGC, CSIR, or similar accredited agencies.
Job Description:
The Department of Microbiology invites applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Guest Faculty (1-UR) on a purely temporary basis. The walk-in interview will be conducted on 17th November 2025 at 12:00 Noon. The position offers a remuneration of Rs. 1,500 per lecture with a ceiling of Rs. 50,000 per month. Candidates possessing a Master’s degree with NET/SLET/SET qualification or a Ph.D. as per UGC norms are eligible to apply.
