Funded PhD Positions: The School of Kinesiology and Health Studies (SKHS) at Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada, is offering two fully funded PhD positions in Musculoskeletal Engineering and Technologies. We are seeking highly motivated candidates interested in developing computational musculoskeletal models and rehabilitation technologies, with a focus on ACL injuries and balance control/fall prevention.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Research experience in computational and experimental biomechanics.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and programming (MATLAB, Simulink, Python).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (conference abstracts, journal publications).
  • Desirable: Experience in musculoskeletal modeling (e.g., OpenSim), multibody dynamics, signal processing, embedded systems development, wearable devices, and programming in C++.

Funded PhD Positions – Musculoskeletal Engineering and Technologies

The selected candidates will engage in developing computational musculoskeletal models and rehabilitation technologies, specifically focusing on ACL injuries and balance control/fall prevention. This involves research in computational and experimental biomechanics, data analysis, programming, and contributing to the development of innovative technologies. Successful candidates will pursue their studies at the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies (SKHS) starting in Fall 2024.
