Eligibility/Qualification–
For Engineering Departments
Applicants should possess:
- First Class in B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline.
- Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline is desirable/required depending on the position.
- Candidates who completed Ph.D. directly after B.E./B.Tech (or equivalent) are also eligible.
Basic & Applied Science
- First Class in B.Sc./B.Tech and M.Sc./M.Tech (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline.
- Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline.
Management & Humanities
- First Class in both UG and PG (MBA or equivalent).
- Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Arunachal Pradesh, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has invited online applications for the engagement of Adjunct Faculty (Guest Faculty) and Professor of Practice on a purely temporary basis for the Academic Year 2026–2027. The appointment will be for 11 months across multiple departments including Engineering, Basic & Applied Sciences, and Management & Humanities.

Selected candidates will be engaged as Adjunct Faculty (Guest Faculty) or Professor of Practice for teaching and academic activities during the Academic Year 2026–2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Conduct laboratory sessions where applicable.
- Mentor students in academic and research activities.
- Participate in departmental academic responsibilities.
- Deliver presentations/interviews before the Selection Committee during recruitment.
- Contribute expertise in specialized research and emerging technologies.
Appointment Details
- Engagement is purely temporary.
- Duration of appointment is 11 months.
- Two days of leave per month are admissible and may be carried forward.
- No claim for regular appointment shall arise from this engagement.
Honorarium
Adjunct Faculty (Guest Faculty)
- ₹60,000 per month for candidates possessing a Ph.D.
- ₹50,000 per month for candidates possessing an M.Tech.
Professor of Practice
- ₹2,00,000 per month for a one-month duration visit.
- ₹6,000 per day for visits of less than one month.
- TDS will be deducted as per Government of India rules.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on:
- Presentation (where applicable)
- Personal Interview
conducted by a duly constituted Selection Committee.

No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
