Eligibility/Qualification
- A 2:1 Honours degree or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Microelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of hydrogel chemistry, drug delivery systems, microfluidics, and implantable devices.
- Demonstrable English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Candidates must not have resided or carried out activities in the UK for more than 12 months in the last 36 months prior to recruitment.
Job Description
- Investigate and refine synthesis of hydrogels or fabricate implantable devices.
- Conduct in vitro and in vivo testing to evaluate biocompatibility, cytotoxicity, and therapeutic efficacy.
- Optimize key parameters for scalable production and assess device material biocompatibility.
- Collaborate within the network for training on neurotechnologies.
