Open Positions in “Senescence in Tissue Regeneration” Research Group, Vienna, Austria

Postdoc in Austria

Open Positions: Join the cutting-edge research team led by Dr. Mikołaj Ogrodnik at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institut für Traumatologie, delving into the fascinating field of tissue damage response and cell fate determination following skin injury.

Open Positions in “Senescence in Tissue Regeneration” Research Group

Designation:

  1. Postdoctoral Researcher (Full-Time)
  2. Pre-doctoral Researcher (Part-Time)
  3. Lab Technician (Part-Time)

Research Area: Senescence in Tissue Regeneration

Location: Vienna, Austria

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Postdoctoral Researcher: Ph.D. in a relevant field, expertise in tissue damage responses, cell fate determination, and related research methodologies.
  • Pre-doctoral Researcher: Pursuing Ph.D. with a keen interest in tissue damage response, cell fate determination, and relevant research.
  • Lab Technician: Hands-on experience in molecular histology, animal physiology, and an understanding of tissue damage responses.

Job Description:
The Postdoctoral and Pre-doctoral Researchers will investigate the heterogeneity of cellular phenotypes, including proliferation, senescence, and differentiation, upon tissue damage. They will explore the establishment of this heterogeneity, pertinent mechanisms, and modulation for enhanced tissue repair and counteracting tissue pathologies. The Lab Technician will contribute to the research using molecular histology and animal physiology to study tissue damage responses, regeneration, healing, cellular senescence, and aging.

How to Apply:
Interested candidates should submit their application by e-mail to Dr. Mikolaj Ogrodnik at mikolaj.ogrodnik@lbg.ac.at, including a letter of motivation, academic CV, and the names and contact details of 1-2 references.
