Ph.D. Student in Integrated Crop: The Department of Agronomy at the University of Florida is seeking a highly qualified Ph.D. student to join the program starting in the Spring semester of 2025. This position is under the guidance of Dr. Sudeep Singh Sidhu with Dr. Gabriel Maltais-Landry as a co-advisor. The research will focus on sod-based rotation and integrated crop-livestock systems.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Experience in agronomy, soil sciences, agricultural engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong publication record.
  • High GPA.
  • Experience in statistical and other quantitative analyses.
  • Active in co-curricular activities.
  • Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain one within the first two months of the program.

Job Description

The Ph.D. student will:

  • Conduct fieldwork and sample collection.
  • Analyze samples and data.
  • Publish research findings.
  • Report progress while working toward the Agronomy Ph.D. degree.
  • Travel to different research locations.
  • Participate in outreach and extension activities.
