Scholarship Description

The PhD project, titled ‘EMERGENT QUANTUM PHENOMENA IN 2D-ORGANIC SYSTEMS’, seeks to demonstrate and enhance the quantum efficiency of Organic Nano-Architectures (ONA) on 2D insulating substrates. The research will involve developing methods to improve quantum coherence in ONAs, aiming for true quantum behavior in molecular systems. The work will primarily utilize advanced preparation and characterization techniques such as scanning microscopies and photoemission spectroscopies within a UHV environment. The host group at INMA offers world-class surface science facilities at the Laboratorio de Microscopias Avanzadas and extensive experience with synchrotron facilities.
