Eligibility/Qualification:
- MSc in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related science degree (or expects to receive such a degree within several months)
- Experience in standard Molecular Biology/Biochemistry techniques
- High motivation and enthusiasm for research
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with NGS techniques (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, WGBS, etc.)
- Familiarity with chromatin conformation capture-based techniques
- Experience in working with animals
- Experience in bioinformatics
- Expertise in imaging and 3D data analysis
- Co-authorship in publications from a relevant subject (e.g., epigenetics)
Job Description:
The successful candidate will lead their own research project, focusing on how changes in promoter-enhancer networks and chromatin architecture establish keratinocyte-specific transcription programs. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and conducting molecular biology and cell culture experiments
- Computational analysis of NGS data
- Presenting results in group meetings, internal seminars, and conferences
- Manuscript preparation
Research Project:
The project, “The role of 3D genome folding in transcription termination,” will investigate how chromatin loops affect transcription termination. Experimental work will involve cell culture, genome engineering, conventional & super-resolution 3D imaging, genomic NGS experiments, and bioinformatics analysis.
