Description: As a PhD student at LIST, you will work on numerical simulations for ion beam based nano-analytics. The project aims to develop methodologies to characterize nano-sized materials in 3 dimensions with high resolution and accuracy, crucial for various application areas such as next-generation batteries, solar cells, and toxicological studies. You will develop Molecular Dynamics simulations to understand fundamental processes occurring during the analysis of polymers, working closely with highly skilled scientists in the Advanced Instrumentation for Nano-Analytics (AINA) group within LIST’s Materials Research & Technology Department. The position offers an opportunity to acquire highly valued skills in numerical modeling, data interpretation, and ion beam based methodologies.
