Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- Strong background in Elastomer/Rubber Technology, Polymer Chemistry, and/or Colloidal Formulations.
- Practical experience in compounding and testing elastomers.
- Ability to independently manage projects from bench-scale to industrial-scale testing.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Job Description
The PhD candidate will develop and validate novel protective systems for critical additives in rubber materials. Key responsibilities include:
- System Formulation and Design: Creating sustainable precursor materials and developing protective systems with controlled additive delivery mechanisms.
- Materials Integration: Employing polymer chemistry knowledge to integrate new systems into rubber formulations and conduct tests under industrial conditions.
- Performance and Lifetime Analysis: Performing mechanical, chemical, and aging tests on rubber composites to assess improvements in durability and functionality.
